evitando potenciais sequelas e garantindo a neuroprotecção.
Cardiac arrest (CPA) is the third leading cause of death in Europe, with an annual incidence of out-of-hospital CPA between 67-170 per 100,000 inhabitants, where only 50- 60% of resuscitation cases are initiated or managed by an emergency team, and only 8% of victims survive after hospital discharge. Therefore, post-cardiac arrest care care is essential in the immediate intervention of victims, in order to prevent syndrome post cardiac arrest and restore cardiac and respiratory functions, avoiding potential sequelae and ensuring neuroprotection. This report aims to present a descriptive and well-founded analysis of the path to developing skills as a future master nurse and specialist in critically ill patients. In this way, I present three distinct clinical contexts, which allowed the mobilization of these skills, complemented by carrying out an integrative review of the literature, which supports specialized nursing interventions in post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation care. This path was guided by I theoretical framework: Vigilance: The Essence of Nursing described by Geralyn Meyer and Mary Ann Lavin (2005) and Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing described by Rozzano Locsin (2005), which requires knowing and using the means technologies developed to guarantee precise care, guaranteeing efficient and advanced surveillance. This path proved to be enriching due to the possibility of critical reflection, given the diverse theoretical knowledge inherent to the provision of care, as it allowed the development of skills for specialized nursing practice that included a master's degree.
