This report is the result of research and investigation carried out within the scope of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education, focusing on the theme of family involvement through pedagogical documentation in childhood education. Based on the experiences lived and carried out during the internship, it is intended to understand how documentation can be an effective strategy to involve families in educational contexts. Regarding methodology, the present study is part of an interpretative paradigm of qualitative research, based on action-research, with the aim of collecting information that would answer the research question: “How to promote greater involvement of Families through pedagogical documentation in Childhood Education?”, having been used as collection devices: participant observation; photographic records; field notes; document analysis and semi-structured interviews with cooperating educators. Through this investigation, I understood the impact that the involvement of families has on the development and acquisition of children's learning, as well as what strategies the educator can use to involve them and encourage them to have a greater participation in the educational context. It was also possible to understand that when the educator uses the documentation to show parents how he observes and listens to children, how he provides an environment of well-being and meets their interests and needs, parents begin to have greater confidence in the educator and, consequently, become more involved and participative. (Gandini and Goldhaber, 2002).
