Abstract(s)
A existência de uma metodologia de investigação de acidentes de trabalho numa organização e a sua devida implementação é fulcral, na medida em que permite colmatar as necessidades de uma Avaliação de Riscos perante a ocorrência de um acidente, uma vez que permite o apuramento da (ou das) causas raiz, que por sua vez darão origem a medidas preventivas que impeçam a recorrência desse mesmo acidente. Como é do conhecimento geral, os acidentes de trabalho traduzem-se em prejuízos financeiros para as organizações, e muitas vezes na perda de capacidade de trabalho para os trabalhadores, e consequentemente o seu ambiente familiar. A presente dissertação de Mestrado, visa analisar a metodologia utilizada numa empresa e, através de comparação com o método RIAAT (Registo, Investigação e Análise de Acidentes de Trabalho), analisar a necessidade de melhorias. Após a avaliação de necessidades, pretende-se desenvolver uma ferramenta de investigação de acidentes de trabalho estruturada e metódica, que permita uma clara identificação das causas de um acidente assim como o registo das respectivas medidas correctivas.
Ambos os métodos analisados, são viáveis para a investigação de acidentes de trabalho, no entanto, podemos claramente concluir que a metodologia IAT é suficiente para uma investigação básica e de acidentes de baixa gravidade, mas por outro lado, insuficiente ou inadequada na investigação de acidentes graves ou de maior complexidade.
O valor acrescentado do RIAAT relativamente ao IAT é sem dúvida o aspecto comunicacional e de aprendizagem organizacional que, tal como o nome indica, permite à Organização uma evolução em matéria de SST ao “aprender” com os erros cometidos no passado para não os repetir no futuro.
The existence of an incident investigation methodology in an organization and its due implementation is crucial hence it complements the needs of a Risk Assessment upon in the event of an accident, by allowing the finding of the root causes, which in turn will give rise to preventive measures that will prevent the recurrence of this same accident. As is well known, occupational accidents result into financial losses for organizations, and often the loss of working capacity for workers, and consequently their family environment. This Master's dissertation aims to analyse the methodology used in a company and, through comparison with the RIAAT method (Registry, Investigation and Analysis of Work Accidents), view the need for improvements. Upon the assessment of improvement, it is intended to develop a structured and methodical work accident investigation tool, which allows a clear identification of the causes of an accident as well as the recording of the respective corrective measures. The added value o RIAAT in regards to IAT is without any doubt the aspect pf communication and organisational learning which, as the name indicates, allows the organisation to evolve in regards to the “learnings” with the mistakes from past events in order to not repeating them in the future.
