«Não fui eu!»:A Mentira na Infância

| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo centra-se na temática da mentira, em crianças em idade pré-escolar, mais propriamente nas faixas etárias dos três aos cinco anos, tendo por objetivo principal compreender quais os motivos que estão associados à ocorrência da mentira na infância. As questões que estruturam a atual investigação são as seguintes: a) Quais os motivos que levam a criança a mentir?; b) A mentira surge como resposta-medo/receio ou como resposta-imaginação?; c) Qual o papel do adulto (educadores/pais) na autorregulação do comportamento das crianças?. Através destas pretendeu-se: 1) Conhecer os motivos que levam a que a mentira ocorra na infância; 2) Conhecer os comportamentos associados à mentira; 3) Compreender qual o papel a desempenhar pelo adulto na autorregulação deste comportamento. Foi adotada, como opção metodológica, a investigação qualitativa e interpretativa, baseada em entrevistas às educadoras e crianças, bem como, uma experiência-vídeo feita às crianças de modo a analisar os seus comportamentos. Os principais resultados obtidos no decorrer da investigação prendem-se com o facto de a mentira surgir como recurso, utilizado pela criança, para “escapar” à reação do adulto, em que esta tem a perceção de uma possível reação negativa. A imaginação revelou-se um elemento fundamental, diferenciando-se consoante as faixas etárias. No que respeita à resposta dos adultos relativamente à mentira, a estratégia de intervenção mais destacada pelos educadores foram a conversação ponderada e a explicação. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This study is focused on the theme “lie”, with children of preschool, more specifically with ages between three and five years old, with the objective to understand the main reasons that lead children to lie. a) What are the reasons that lead children to lie; b) The lie is a response to fear or a response to imagination?; c) What is the role of adults (educators/parents) in the regulation of children’s behavior? Through these, we aim to: 1) Understand the reasons that lead the lie to occur in childhood; 2) Know the behaviors associated with the lie; 3) Understand the role of the adult in the regulation of this behavior. It was adopted as a methodology, the qualitative and interpretative research, based on interviews with teachers and children, as well as an experience-video made with children in order to analyze their behavior. The main results obtained during this investigation relate to the fact that the lie emerge as a resource, used by the child to "escape" to the adult's reaction, as he has the perception of a possible negative reaction. The imagination has proven to be a key element, differing depending on age groups. Regarding the adult response in relation to lie, the most outstanding strategy of intervention highlighted by educators was weighted conversation and explanation. | pt_PT |
