Abstract(s)
internet, o microprocessador, o computador pessoal, o telemóvel, as redes móveis, o
The concern for life and personal property exist for thousands of years, man has always sought a way to deal with risk, and his main concern, except for the most basic needs, is to be safe. Insurance appears from this demand for security, and, in society, Mann always tries to mitigate the risk of his activities. Although initially focused on trade and the transport of goods, the need to cover other branches such as life, theft or fire is quickly felt. Insurance was the factor that allowed the development of the economy and society, having been vital in the industrial revolutions. The numerous innovations that emerged between the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, such as the internet, the microprocessor, the personal computer, the mobile phone, mobile networks, the smartphone, the cloud, music and streaming television, among many others, have accelerated a digital transformation that is felt, in generations Y and Z, not only as completely accepted, but also as essential to the normal experience of our day. In this context, the insurance industry has also undergone a huge transformation, transforming many of its methods to digital, including the sales of insurance policies. However, this process has not been as successful as expected, the insurance brokerage sales channel remains preponderant, with the largest market share of sales. Even so, it is a not quite “digital” network, and in many cases, insurers have provided IT equipment and online sites for brokers to carry out their daily work. This project aims to carry out the digital transformation of an insurance mediation company, including the creation of a website and institutional email accounts, the implementation of insurance management software and the development of a Business Intelligence solution for differentiated analysis of reports and indicators that may assist in management decisions.
