| dc.description.abstract | This chapter explores how artificial intelligence can transform curriculum design by personalising learning and supporting the development of essential 21st-century skills. Integrating artificial intelligence into curricula enables adaptive learning environments that respond to individual student needs, promoting equity and improving educational outcomes. The chapter begins by contextualising the growing role of artificial intelligence in education and examining current opportunities and challenges for educators and institutions. It then discusses personalised learning mechanisms, offering examples of how generative artificial intelligence can enhance the student experience. The second section focuses on developing key skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and digital literacy, showing how they can be integrated into the curriculum with the support of artificial intelligence.
