Abstract(s)
O objeto de estudo desta Dissertação é o Vale do Tua e as alterações que a
linha de caminho-de-ferro lhe proporcionou. Um território que, fechado no seu
isolamento geográfico durante séculos, foi-se alterando morfologicamente
face à implementação desta infraestrutura, durante o seu período de
funcionamento. De todos os estudos feitos, no âmbito do processo de
construção da barragem do Tua, identifica-se uma lacuna, do ponto de vista
urbanístico, relativa ao papel da infraestrutura enquanto agente conformador
daquele território. É nesse sentido que surge a oportunidade de desenvolver a
Dissertação.
Para dar resposta à problemática, foram estabelecidos dois objetivos que se
prendem na identificação das transformações morfológicas no território a
partir da implementação do comboio, bem como o seu contributo na
respetiva organização espacial. Os resultados extraídos formam indicadores
que contribuem para constituir a resposta ao último objetivo, na medida em
que informam sobre a dependência que a região tem do investimento em
grandes infraestruturas para se desenvolver.
A metodologia adotada é o Estudo de Caso, utilizando a técnica de análise
documental na recolha de dados, quer a nível urbanístico para a composição
do corpo teórico, suporte para conduzir a pesquisa e para definir indicadores
de análise morfológica, quer para o estudo a nível histórico-geográfico do
território em questão, complementado com a observação e a fotografia. O
resultado é a informação para o desenvolvimento da análise à qual é
elaborada a interpretação crítica, que, correlacionada com a
fundamentação teórica, resulta nas considerações gerais.
A estrutura da Dissertação pode ser dividida em três partes. A primeira é
relativa à introdução do tema e à fundamentação teórica que suporta a
investigação. A segunda inicia-se com o estudo de caso, contextualizando
histórica e geograficamente o vale do Tua, para de seguida se abordarem
Foz-Tua, Cachão e Mirandela, no período temporal estabelecido. Por último,
serão referidas as considerações gerais, nas quais é dada a resposta a dois
objetivos, articulação dos resultados com as teorias. Para finalizar as
conclusões, que, para além da síntese do contributo para o conhecimento e
da reflexão pessoal, apresentam a resposta ao último objetivo.
Entre as principais conclusões que se destacam, refere-se o facto da linha do
Tua não ter tido o sucesso expectado por não ter sido levado a cabo o plano
ferroviário que cobria toda a região, que alimentaria esta linha. Porém, as
localidades que dispunham de estação sentiram positivamente a
infraestrutura, ao ponto de se desenvolverem em sua função, assumindo esta
um papel estruturador. Atualmente, enquanto infraestrutura de transporte, não
apresenta interesse para a região, a qual não deve ser mantida na totalidade
em prejuízo da barragem. Não obstante, enquadrada num plano turístico
onde associe outros fatores, como a própria barragem do Tua, pode
reintroduzir novas dinâmicas naquele território.
Abstract: The object of study of this dissertation is the Tua Valley and the changes that the line of railway gave to it. A territory, closed at its geographic isolation for centuries, has been changing the face of morphologically implementation of this infrastructure during its period of operation. In all studies conducted under the dam construction process of the Tua, a gap, the urban point of view on the role of infrastructure as a conformer agent that territory arises. It is in this sense that the opportunity arises to develop the Master. To give an answer to the problematic, two objectives which concern the identification of morphological transformations in the territory from the implementation of the train as well as their contribution in their spatial organization were established. The extracted results from indicators that contribute to constitute the answer to the ultimate goal, in that report on the dependence of the region has large investments in infrastructure to develop. The methodology is the case study, using the technique of documentary analysis collecting data, both the urban level to the theoretical composition of the body, support to conduct research and indicators of morphological analysis or historical-geographical territory in question supplemented with observation and photography. This results in the development information analysis is prepared to which the interpretation critical, which correlates with the results of the general theory considerations. The structure of the Master can be divided into three parts. The first is the introduction of the theme and theory supporting research. The second begins with a case study, historical and geographically contextualizing the Tua valley, for then if they approach Foz-Tua, Cachão, Bragança and within a time period established. Finally, the general considerations are given an answer to two goals, articulation of the results with the theories and to finalize the conclusions that beyond the synthesis of contribution to knowledge and personal reflection, is given the answer to the ultimate goal. Among the key findings that stand out, refers to the fact that the Tua line have had success by not forecasted to have been carried out rail plan that covered the entire region, which would feed this line. However, the locations that they had felt positively station infrastructure to the point of developing into his role, assuming that a structuring role. Currently, while transportation infrastructure, is of no interest to the region, which should not be kept entirely at the expense of the dam. Nevertheless, framed in a tourist plane where associate other factors, such as Tua dam itself, may reintroduce new dynamics that territory.
