Abstract(s)
As intervenções
The theme of this investigation is Outdoor Playing in daycare and kindergarten, aiming to develop a deeper understanding of the theme as well as to develop strategies to optimize play in this context. This project presents, analyzes and interprets the observations and interventions carried out during two stages of intervention – in Daycare and Kindergarden –, within the scope of the Master in Pre-School Education. This is a qualitative methodology, following the action-research approach, whose procedures for collecting, processing and analyzing information were observation, field notes, photographic and video recording, as well as informal conversations and quiz inquiries (carried out to the cooperating educators). The analysis and interpretation of the collected information allowed knowing the different groups and their interests, as well as understanding the educators' practice, which helped to adapt the intervention proposals carried out. The interventions presented and analyzed in this project report were selected not only for their relevance but also for their variety of character: spontaneous and planned. By analyzing them, it’s possible to understand that playing is an activity that should be valued and recognized as a motor of the child's learning and development, providing it in a holistic way, simultaneously covering the emotional, social, cognitive and motor aspects. Since the outer space is a place that offers greater freedom, greater opportunity for discovery and exploration with all the senses, playing becomes a sensorially rich experience, balanced and in harmony with nature
