O tema do presente relatório de investigação aborda a importância das artes visuais na educação de infância e tem como finalidade compreender quais os contributos da diversificação de materiais, suportes e técnicas e de que forma estes podem influenciar o desenvolvimento das crianças nos contextos de creche e jardim de infância. Adotar uma metodologia qualitativa orientada na investigação-ação, ao longo dos estágios realizados, permitiu-me conhecer os contextos e intervenientes da investigação. Os procedimentos de recolha de informação aplicados foram a observação, as notas de campo que integram as conversas informais, as reflexões com as educadoras cooperantes, a pesquisa documental, os registos multimédia e a entrevista realizada às educadoras cooperantes.Nos contextos de estágio encontrei realidades diferentes, sendo que em creche a aproximação das crianças às artes visuais era reduzida, e em jardim-de-infância esse contacto era habitual. As intervenções descritas e analisadas nesta investigação foram selecionadas considerando a sua pertinência relativamente ao tema do projeto, dado que intervim no
sentido de promover a diversificação de materiais, suportes e técnicas potenciando a exploração das artes visuais em ambos os contextos. Este estudo permitiu observar e refletir acerca do tema principal: a diversificação de técnicas e de materiais e compreender como esta influencia a exploração das artes visuais em contexto de creche e jardim-de-infância.
The theme of this research project report is the importance of visual arts in early childhood education, and its purpose is to understand the contributions of the diversification of techniques and materials and how these can influence the development of children in the context of nursery and kindergarten.Adopting a qualitative and action-research methodology, throughout the internships carried out, allowed me to get to know the contexts and the participants of the investigation. The procedures for collecting information were observation, field notes that integrate informal conversations, reflections with the cooperating educators, documentaryresearch, multimedia records and interviews carried out with the cooperating educators. In the internships contexts, I found different realities, being that in nursery the children’s contact with visual arts was reduced, and in kindergarten that contact was common.The interventions described and analyzed in this research were selected considering their relevance to the project theme, since I intervened to promote the diversification of techniques and materials, enhancing the exploration of visual arts in both contexts. This study allowed to observe and reflect on the main theme: the diversification of techniques and materials and understand how this influences the exploration of visual arts in the context of nursery and kindergarten.
