Abstract(s)
sistematização, poderão comprometer as boas práticas.
This report, integrated into the Master's Degree in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing, at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de São José de Cluny, in partnership with the Escola Superior de Saúde de Santa Maria, aims to present the path of acquisition and development of Master’s skills in Nursing, Common Competencies of the Specialist Nurse and Specific Competencies of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Pediatric Health, in the different contexts of clinical practice. The methodology adopted is descriptive and critical reflective, on the learning process, based on scientific evidence and theoretical references. The Nurse Specialist in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing has a responsibility within the healthcare team, with regard to promoting safe sleep for infants. The topic of children's sleep has gained relevance, due to the impact it has on parenting and because it is a target of concern on the part of parents. Therefore, promoting healthy and safe sleeping habits was one of the interventions that cut across different child and family care contexts. Its implementation requires knowledge, informed by scientific evidence, to promote quality, appropriate and safe nursing care. However, there are multiple strategies, which, lacking scientific evidence and systematization, could compromise good practices. In order to identify and synthesize the existing scientific evidence on strategies to promote infant sleep in the first year of life, an integrative literature review study was carried out. The study led to the identification of seven strategies that aim to promote healthy and safe sleep in infants. Based on the results, an intervention proposal was designed to promote infant sleep.
