O Exército Português foi sujeito a um enorme esforço de adaptação logística durante o conflito com características subversivas em África. À semelhança do passado, tendo hoje novos confrontos com alterações constantes ao conceito da guerra tornou-se necessário perceber como foi feito esta adaptação em Moçambique. Assim, o presente trabalho de investigação teve como objetivo analisar as alterações implementadas pelo Exército ao nível de infraestruturas de produção para fazer face a um conflito armado que durou cerca de 11 anos. Após identificar como objetivos específicos deste trabalho as infraestruturas logísticas de produção existentes antes do início do conflito, analisando as necessidades de infraestruturas que surgiram aquando do início do conflito e as adaptações que foram efetuadas em termos e infraestruturas de produção concluiu-se que o Exército adaptou-se de forma rápida e eficaz às características do conflito nomeadamente através do aumento de produção e da criação de infraestruturas no Teatro de Operações. Abstract: The Portuguese Army was subject to a huge logistical effort when faced with a subversive conflict in Africa. Today, has in the past, new confrontations emerge that add constant changes to de concept of war, making it useful to understand how this adaptations were made in Mozambique. This research paper aims to analyze the changes and the modifications implemented by the Army in terms of it’s production infrastructure, in order to engage in this 11-year conflict. After identifying has specific objectives for this paper, the existing production infrastructure before the war, the needs of new infrastructure at the beginning of this conflict and the adaptation in terms of production infrastructure putted in place afterwards, we’ve reached to the conclusion that the Army was able to respond efficiently and effectively, by increasing the production and the infrastructure placed in the Mozambique Field of Operations, in order to be able to deal with this conflict needs.
