O presente relatório descreve as atividades desenvolvidas no estágio curricular, inserido no Mestrado em Gestão do Turismo e da Hotelaria. Este foi realizado no departamento e-commerce e website do Pestana Palace Hotel, sediado em Portugal e fazendo parte da cadeia hoteleira Pestana Hotel Group.
O estágio teve a duração de 360 horas decorridas entre 25 de julho e 26 de setembro e teve como objetivo não só consolidar as aprendizagens adquiridas em momento letivo, bem como aplicá-las no mundo profissional.
Será elaborada uma análise estratégica através da formulação de uma matriz SWOT, tendo em conta o ambiente interno e externo da empresa, apresentando os pontos fortes e os pontos fracos, bem como as oportunidades e ameaças afetas ao Grupo Pestana e mais concretamente ao departamento de e-commerce e website.
Tendo em conta os dois ambientes referentes à matriz SWOT, serão formuladas propostas de valor no que concerne o departamento em questão, à empresa no seu todo e ao mundo da hotelaria no geral.
Esta experiência foi fulcral e muito valiosa, indo ao encontro das expectativas iniciais, permitindo uma abertura de horizontes bem como um melhoramento a nível pessoal e profissional.
This report serves as a description of the activities developed in my internship experience, under the protocol of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Master’s degree. This internship was completed at the ecommerce and website department at Pestana Palace Hotel, which is part of the Pestana Hotel Group. The internship had a total duration of 360 hours, performed between July 25th and September 26th , with the purpose of consolidating the information acquired at the course as well as applying it on the business world. A strategic analysis will be done through the formulation of a SWOT matrix, having in mind both the internal and external environments of the company, presenting both strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats affecting the Group and more precisely the ecommerce and website department. Having both environments in mind, value proposals will be articulated for the department, the company and the general hospitality world. This experience was of the utmost value since it came in accord with the initial expectations, allowing an openness of horizons as well as an improvement on a personal and professional level.
