The promotion of women’s mobility and freedom of movement during labour constitutes a fundamental intervention in the humanization of care and in the promotion of physiological childbirth, supported by current scientific evidence. The theoretical framework underpinning the interventions and the theme of this report is Kristen Swanson’s Theory of Caring, which constitutes the conceptual reference adopted to support the practice developed. This internship report, developed within the scope of the Master’s Degree in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing, had as its main objectives: to promote women’s mobility during labour through the identification of needs, the implementation of educational interventions, and the development of evidence-based strategies; and to develop the common, specific, and master’s-level competencies of the Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing in promoting practices that enhance maternal mobility, women’s active participation, and the physiology of childbirth. Throughout the different Clinical Placement contexts, several interventions were developed. The results obtained demonstrate that mobility during labour is a feasible, safe, and beneficial practice. Thus, obtaining the Master’s degree and the title of Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing enables me to provide specialized care to women throughout the pregnancy–puerperal cycle, promoting mobility and freedom of movement during labour.
