Abstract(s)
No presente trabalho caracterizam-se as deteriorações da pedra da fachada e dos alçados da Igreja do Mosteiro de Travanca e apresenta-se uma proposta de intervenção no monumento. De forma a obter soluções tecnicamente fundamentadas, foram descritas e cartografadas as litologias e as deteriorações. A amostragem, com posterior recurso à microscopia eletrónica de varrimento (MEV/EDS), permitiu a identificação dos minerais de sais solúveis, principais responsáveis pelos processos de degradação pétrea. Foi ainda possível caracterizar o meio poroso de pedras de granito usadas no edificado, através do recurso ao porosímetro de mercúrio.
In this study are presented the deteriorations of the stone façade and elevations of the Church of the Monastery of Travanca, as well as an intervention proposal in the monument. In order to obtain technically based solutions, lithologies and deteriorations were described and charted. The samples, analysed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM/EDS), allowed the identification of minerals soluble salts, main responsible for the stone degradation process. It was also possible to characterize the porous granite stones used in the building, through the use of mercury porosimetry.
