Este estudo explora a aplicação da área emergente de biomimética no
campo dos negócios através de uma abordagem interdisciplinar.
Pretende-se contribuir para a geração de uma reflexão sustentável nas
empresas através da interseção das áreas de biomimética e business
design. A investigação apresenta uma revisão da literatura nas áreas
propostas com o objetivo de embasar a criação de uma nova
ferramenta de business design. Identifica-se, através da revisão da
literatura, que a inovação do modelo de negócios é fundamental para
a criação de negócios sustentáveis. Ao integrar princípios
biomiméticos no business design, gera-se uma nova ferramenta que
foi testada em workshop prático com alunos do curso de mestrado em
Gestão do Design. A ferramenta foi avaliada também por
especialistas nas áreas de negócios e design com notório histórico
acadêmico. Os resultados demonstram um potencial para inovar
modelos de negócio, gerar uma visão ecossistêmica e promover uma
reflexão sustentável.
This study explores the application of the emerging field of biomimicry in business through an interdisciplinary approach. It aims to contribute to fostering sustainable thinking in companies by integrating the fields of biomimicry and business design. The research includes a literature review in these areas to support the development of a new business design tool. The literature review identifies that innovating the business model is crucial for creating sustainable businesses. By integrating biomimetic principles into business design, a new tool was generated and tested in a practical workshop with master's students in Design Management. The tool was also evaluated by experts in business and design with significant academic background. The results demonstrate potential to innovate business models, foster an ecosystemic view, and promote sustainable reflection.
