Abstract(s)
Cultural Tourism has shown exponential growth in both international and national tourism. Despite the various concepts given to this type of tourism, it can be considered as the set tours whose main motivation is cultural: to learn, discover, experience and consume products and cultural attractions, whether they are tangible or intangible. Due to the climatic conditions, low prices and tourist offer, Lisbon benefits of a strong tourism dynamism, mainly cultural. Despite the millions of visitors every year, both supply and demand are not homogeneous in the city, concentrating demand in the Historical Center and in Belém. It is undeniable that Lisbon has more to offer, with a vast and differentiated heritage throughout all parts of the city. Despite being recognized as a destination of quality, the polarization of supply and demand must be fought, allowing the sustainable growth of the Historic Center and other areas of Lisbon.
