O presente artigo pretende reflectir sobre a importância dos sabres dos quadros nas
sociedades do conhecimento. A questão de base desta investigação é: de que falamos
quando nos referimos aos quadros? Estruturalmente, reflecte-se sobre os
quadros enquanto processo societal e como construto da gestão das organizações.
Empiricamente analisam-se os quadros em Portugal à luz das propostas da Organização
Internacional do Trabalho, da Classificação Nacional das Profissões e das
Estruturas Sindicais. Procede-se ainda a uma análise comparativa com alguns
países industrializados.
This study aims to understand the importance of highly qualified professionals knowledge and competencies within the context of knowledge-based societies. Our research question is: what are we talking about when we think about highly qualified professionals? A theoretic approach is suggested departing from the analysis of highly qualified professionals will be approached as a societal process and as a construct of the ways organizations are managed. Empirically we analyze the highly qualified professionals in Portugal from the International Labor Organization definitions, the National Classification of Professions and the Syndical Structures. It is still preceded to a comparative analysis with some industrialized countries.
