Abstract(s)
Perante uma sociedade cada vez mais exigente e em constante mudança, a Polícia de
Segurança Pública tem que acompanhar a sua evolução de forma a conseguir dar uma
resposta eficiente, para a qual contribui, em grande parte, o papel dos seus líderes.
Atualmente a formação em Liderança tem uma importância acrescida para o sucesso
dos líderes e consequentemente para as organizações a que pertencem.
Este estudo tem como objeto a formação em Liderança no ensino superior policial,
de forma a verificar se o Instituto Superior de Ciências Policiais e Segurança Interna
dispõe dos meios adequados para cumprir com êxito a missão de formar os seus futuros
líderes.
Foram identificados e analisados os vários processos que contribuem para o
desenvolvimento da liderança.
Faced with an increasingly demanding and changing society, the Public Security Police Force has to keep up with its evolution in order to provide an efficient response, to which the role of its leaders largely contributes. Currently, leadership training has an increased importance for the success of leaders and, consequently, for the organizations to which they belong. This study has as its object the Leadership training in police higher education, in order to verify if the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Internal Security has the appropriate means to successfully fulfill the mission of training its future leaders. The various processes that contribute to leadership development were identified and analyzed.
