This report aims to present a descriptive and reflective analysis of the trajectory developed throughout the clinical placements, whose primary objective was the acquisition of competencies as a Rehabilitation Nursing Specialist (RNS) and Master's-level Nurse. With the increase in life expectancy and the continuous aging of the population, there is a growing need to update knowledge and intervene in the older population, particularly regarding age-related factors that have negative consequences on individual health, notably falls. The RNS is a healthcare professional equipped with the skills to assess these changes and mitigate their adverse effects. Given this issue, a transversal objective across all placements was established: to develop the scientific, technical, ethical, and human competencies necessary to provide specialized care to individuals with rehabilitation needs, focusing on the theme: "Fall Risk Identification and Prevention in Older Adults – The Role of the Rehabilitation Nursing Specialist." The theoretical nursing framework chosen to support this approach was Carol Miller's Theory of Functional Consequences, as it emphasizes the importance of identifying natural age-related changes and intervening to minimize their negative impact. To consolidate knowledge and acquire the general competencies of a Specialist Nurse, the specific competencies of a Rehabilitation Nursing Specialist, and a Master's-level Nurse this present report was developed using a descriptive methodology to narrate the process of acquiring these competencies. The report was structured using a descriptive and critically reflective methodology, presenting and analyzing experienced situations, supported by scientific evidence, which facilitated the acquisition of competencies as both a Master's-level Nurse and Rehabilitation Nursing Specialist.
