Abstract(s)
Road Accidents are a subject of constant concern for modern societies, practically since the appearance of the first motorized vehicles. In response to these concerns, there are countless studies, laws, analyses of human behavior, among others, whose primary goal is to reduce accidents and the consequent reduction of deaths and injuries. In this paper, we approach this subject with a focus on traffic accidents where one of the intervening parties was a police vehicle and seek to decipher their causes and the circumstances in which they occurred. Furthermore, we analyze those accidents from the perspective of knowing who was responsible for producing them and what were the resulting personal and material damages. Focusing more on those in which the driver of the police vehicle was responsible for the accident, we tried to find answers that would explain some of its causes, and finally, we looked for possible future directions, with the purpose of reducing road accidents within the Public Security Police, as well as minimizing the consequences.
