Abstract(s)
no bem-estar individual e coletivo.
This report addresses the development of specialized clinical skills in advanced practice psychiatric nursing, with an emphasis on Mental Health Literacy (MHL) and social skills, areas essential for psychological and social well-being. This document highlights the crucial importance of promoting mental health, reducing stigma, and the importance of active helpseeking. The development of these skills is fundamental for advanced psychiatric nursing practice, enabling advanced practice psychiatric nurses to provide more effective care. The relevance of these themes is justified by the growing recognition of mental illnesses as a significant public health issue, with profound impacts on individual and collective well-being. The report details the clinical experience carried out in three contexts: community, differentiated responses, and hospitalization of individuals in acute decompensation phases, allowing for practical and in-depth application of theories and concepts. In each context, specific interventions aimed at the evaluation and improvement of the addressed themes of various target groups were developed. This approach allowed for a comprehensive analysis of the dynamics related to the themes, reflecting the complexity and diversity of the challenges. The methodology adopted was based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, involving the evaluation of social skills and MHL in various target groups. Psychoeducational interventions were conducted, tailored to the specific needs of each internship context, with the goal of developing the focused skills. The results demonstrated a positive impact of the interventions conducted, showing an increase in MHL and significant improvements in the social skills of each population. Through the interventions carried out, it was possible to promote greater autonomy of individuals in managing their mental health and more active participation in the community. This report reinforces the importance of the themes addressed in advanced practice psychiatric nursing, highlighting the fundamental role of advanced practice psychiatric nursing in this domain. The interventions developed contributed to the consolidation of mental health, the reduction of the stigma of mental illnesses, and the promotion of informed and inclusive mental health. The outcomes achieved are a testament to the significant impact that MHL and social skills can have on improving the quality of mental health care and the well-being of people and communities.
