Abstract(s)
a complicação diabética “pé diabético”.

Based on the health planning methodology, we identified as a priority for intervention, in one of the municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, the diabetic complication “diabetic foot”. We developed an intervention project, having as target population users with diabetes, aged 45 to 74, from health units in the county. The overall objective of the project was to promote health literacy on the prevention of “diabetic foot”. We noticed a lack of daily foot care by the target population, with educational sessions on the subject having been developed through conversation circles. Nurses must be effective in providing care, valuing the promotion of health literacy to prevent diabetes complications, including it in their routine
