Abstract(s)
The main goal of this work was to study the application of the Investigator DIPplex kit to interpret mixtures linked with forensic cases, essentially those involved in the analysis of sexual crime samples. The study of these polymorphisms was performed in mixtures of two DNA controls included in commercial kits for the STRs typing, one male and the other female. The analysis was done according to the kit's manufacturer manual. The results were surprisingly better than expected, as the mixture interpretations were straightforward.
