| dc.description.abstract | Os eventos podem ser reconhecidos por sua importância enquanto promotores dos destinos turísticos e da cultura, bem como por sua contribuição na preservação e transmissão das manifestações culturais e artísticas. Os eventos culturais, por muitas vezes estão ligados a manifestações e hábitos regionais. E quando se trata do Brasil, ao se falar em evento e cultura, é de fato inevitável não se associar ao carnaval. Dentre as cidades em que o evento acontece, Recife e Olinda aparecem como destinos de carnaval e contam com uma forte tradição cultural, com expressões culturais que nasceram e algumas somente são encontradas lá. Uma delas é o frevo, que nasceu no século XIX e desde então tem participação constante e predominante nestes carnavais, se tornou um dos símbolos da cultura local, bem como Patrimônio Imaterial Nacional e Mundial e teve sua presença alargada a diversos aspectos das duas cidades para além dos dias do evento. Assim, a presente investigação tem como objetivo principal evidenciar a relevância do frevo para a singularidade, a realização e a manutenção do principal evento cultural das cidades do Recife e de Olinda, o Carnaval. O estudo foi sustentado por uma revisão bibliográfica e por recolha de dados através da análise documental e da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Desta forma, foi possível estudar e compreender o nível de importância dessa manifestação cultural para o evento e para os diferentes aspectos que envolvem ambas as cidades e aos moradores locais. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Events can be recognized for their importance as promoters of touristic destinations and culture, as well as for their contribution in the preservation and transmission of cultural and artistic manifestations. Cultural events are often linked to regional manifestations and habits. And when it comes to Brazil, when referring to events and culture, it is in fact inevitable not to associate them with Carnival. Among the cities where the event takes place, Recife and Olinda appear as carnival destinations and the cities have a strong cultural tradition with cultural expressions that began locally, some of them only found locally such as Frevo. The latter was born in the nineteenth century and since then has been having a constant and predominant participation in these carnival celebrations, becoming one of the symbols of local culture, as well as a National and World Intangible Heritage, and has its presence extended to various aspects of the two cities beyond the days of the event. Thus, the main objective of this research is to highlight the relevance of frevo for the uniqueness, realization and maintenance of the main cultural event of the cities of Recife and Olinda, Carnival. The study was supported by a literature review and data collection through documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews. Therefore, it was possible to study and understand the level of importance of this cultural manifestation for the event and for the different aspects that involve both cities and their residents. | pt_PT |
