Abstract(s)
O presente relatório pretende descrever de forma detalhada uma compilação de vários projectos desenvolvidos pelo estagiário Miguel Gomes durante um período de sete meses de estágio curricular na agência Wunderman Thompson, realizado no âmbito do mestrado em Design e Cultura Visual.
Numa primeira parte, é desenvolvido um enquadramento geral dos conceitos teóricos aplicados ao design gráfico e à sua evolução do campo tradicional para o digital, passando pela análise de conceitos relacionados com a expansão dos novos media digitais.
Consequentemente, são analisados os princípios e competências dos designers para o mundo digital. Nesta revisão de literatura são também abordados os processos de identidade, Branding e publicidade como formas de criação de notoriedade para as marca. Por fim, é elaborado um levantamento dos conceitos relacionados com a comunicação das marcas em ambiente digital, tendo como principal foco a comunicação nas plataformas de social media. Para além de servir o propósito de contextualizar a área de actuação no estágio curricular, a realização da pesquisa bibliográfica permite sustentar a componente prática deste relatório e justificar as decisões tomadas no desenvolvimento dos projectos.
Na fase seguinte, é apresentado o percurso e desempenho do aluno durante estágio, onde foram desenvolvidos projectos sob a função de Designer Júnior em colaboração com a equipa criativa da agência Wunderman Thompson. Nesta fase, para além da descrição dos projectos, serão destacados os métodos e processos de desenvolvimento, os constrangimentos encontrados e as reflexões finais sobre os conhecimentos adquiridos.
This internship report aims to describe in detail a compilation of several projects developed by the intern Miguel Gomes during a seven-month period of internship at the agency Wunderman Thompson, carried out within the scope of the Master in Design and Visual Culture. In the first part, it will be developed a general framework of theoretical concepts applied to graphic design and its evolution from the traditional to the digital field, including the analysis of concepts related to the expansion of new digital media. Consequently, it will be analyzed the principles and skills of designers for the digital world. This literature review also addressed the processes of identity, branding and advertising as ways of creating awareness for brands. Finally, it will be elaborated a study of the concepts related to the communication of brands in a digital environment, with the main focus on social media platforms. In addition to serving the purpose of contextualizing the area of expertise in the curricular internship, the realization of the bibliographic research allowed to sustain the practical component of this report and justify the choices made in the development of the projects. In the next phase, the student's path and performance during the internship will be presented, where were developed projects under the role of Junior Designer in collaboration with the creative team at the Wunderman Thompson agency. In this phase, in addition to the description of the projects, it will be highlighted the development methods and processes, the constraints encountered and the final reflections on the knowledge acquired.
