Abstract(s)
O Design depara-se com situações desafiantes é por isso que
a sua definição se resume à ideação, criação,
desenvolvimento e a inovação de produtos ou serviços com
o propósito de solucionar problemas. No seu amplo universo
subdivide-se o Design Social que prioriza a sociedade,
dentro dos vários problemas complexos que existem na
humanidade, abordando metodologias de Design e
recorrendo a processos de Design com um papel responsável
a fim de provocar mudanças sociais e promover a inovação
social.
A presente investigação envolve o Design e o problema da
Violência Doméstica em Portugal, que é, efetivamente, um
problema social ainda não ultrapassado, e que, pelo
contrário, cada vez existem mais casos de crimes de
Violência Doméstica e não se avistam novas soluções para
prevenir novos casos. Frente a tais problemas, uma potencial
via de mitigação surge com o desenvolvimento das novas
tecnologias.
Desta forma, e no âmbito da disciplina do Design, ergue-se
a ideia da execução de uma plataforma que identifique,
esquematize, valide e organize a violência de acordo com o
input da vítima, assim, encontra-se como uma possível
solução para reduzir o impacto da violência na rotina das
vítimas que a sofrem ou sofreram, provando, ao mesmo
tempo, que o Design pode interferir na vida de qualquer um
de nós.
Design is faced with challenging situations, which is why its definition boils down to the ideation, creation, development and innovation of products or services with the purpose of solving problems. In its broad universe, Social Design is subdivided, which prioritizes society, within the various complex problems that exist in humanity, addressing Design methodologies and using Design processes with a responsible role in order to bring about social changes and promote social innovation. The present investigation involves Design and the problem of Domestic Violence in Portugal, which is, effectively, a social problem that has not yet been overcome, and that, on the contrary, there are more and more cases of crimes of Domestic Violence and there are no new solutions to prevent new cases. Faced with such problems, a potential mitigation path arises with the development of new technologies. In this way, and within the scope of the Design discipline, the idea arises of implementing a platform that identifies, outlines, validates and organizes violence according to the victim's input, thus, it is a possible solution to reduce the impact of violence on the routine of victims who suffer or have suffered it, proving, at the same time, that Design can interfere in the lives of any of us.
