Abstract(s)
A temática trabalhada neste Trabalho de Investigação Aplicada é a das mulheres nas Forças Armadas de Cabo Verde, cujo tema se enquadra no âmbito da sociologia.
As recentes alterações na política aumentaram as oportunidades para as mulheres servirem nas FA de quase todos os países. Como consequência, a representação delas nas FA aumentaram.
Essa política é uma política de igualdade entre os género, onde as mulheres têm vindo a lutar pelos seus direitos.
Cabo Verde como um país democrático também sentiu a necessidade de incorporar mulheres nas FA, mas essa incorporação não cobriu todo o universo feminino, visto que ainda não existem mulheres praças.
Para o estudo do tema em causa resolveu-se elaborar uma questão central: Dado que Cabo
Verde é único país dos Países Africanos da Língua Oficial Portuguesa (PALOP) que ainda
não tem as mulheres (na classe de praça) integradas nas FA, que factores condicionam o ingresso de Mulheres nas FA de Cabo Verde?
Para tratar do referido problema, estruturou-se o trabalho em duas grandes partes: a parte teórico-conceptual e a parte do trabalho de campo.
Com base nas contribuições de autores que se têm debruçado sobre a teoria sistémica, procurou-se criar um modelo de análise, que permitisse o enquadramento teóricoconceptual dos diferentes momentos integradores da temática abordada.
No final do trabalho, com recurso a documentação de natureza bibliográfica, documental, entrevistas e questionários efectuadas, pretende-se verificar da veracidade ou não das hipóteses levantadas, e assim, simultaneamente, responder à pergunta de partida.
Abstract The theme in this Applied Research Work is the service of women in the Armed Forces (AF)of Cape Verde, whose subject falls within sociology. Recent changes in policy on gender equality have increased the opportunities for women serving in the AF of almost all countries. As a result, women’s representation in the AF also increased. Cape Verde as a democratic country also felt the need to incorporate women in the AF, but this does not cover the entire female population, since there is no women soldier. A central question has been developed to study the subject: Given that Cape Verde is the only country of the Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP) that still has no women (in the class of soldier) in the AF, which f actors would affect the entry of the women on to the AF of Cape Verde? To address the above problem, the work is structured into two main parts: the theoreticalconceptual and the fieldwork. Based on the contributions of authors who have been working on the systemic theory, a model of analysis needs to be created to allow the theoretical and conceptual frameworks to integrate various aspects of the theme addressed. At the end of the work, using the documentation of a bibliographical, documentary, interviews and questionnaires carried out, the research intends to verify the hypotheses raised, as well as, answer the initial question.
