Este estudo tem o tema voltado para o stresse laboral delimitando-se o assunto no stresse ocupacional da enfermagem. O objetivo do estudo foi investigar a prevalência e o nível de stresse ocupacional na equipe de enfermagem do setor de alojamento conjunto de uma Maternidade Pública de São Luís e reveste-se de grande relevância visto que, o stresse ocupacional é pouco abordado em setores de obstetrícia como o Alojamento Conjunto. Foram estudados 60 profissionais de enfermagem, sendo 20 enfermeiros e 40 técnicos de enfermagem. A coleta dos dados foi realizada por meio de um questionário estruturado, baseado na Escala Bianchi de Stresse (EBS) em dois momentos, (antes e depois de um conjunto de ações de intervenção) a fim de analisar os níveis e indicadores de stresse. Numa fase inicial, os resultados revelaram que a maioria dos enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem encontra-se satisfeita com seu trabalho e apontaram para níveis altos de stresse nos domínios das atividades relacionadas à administração de pessoal, na assistência de enfermagem prestada ao paciente e na coordenação das atividades da unidade. Após a intervenção, verificou-se alteração nesses mesmos itens, apresentando, os profissionais, médio nível de stresse.
This study has the theme focused on work stress, delimiting the subject in the occupational stress of nurses. The objective of the study was to investigate the prevalence and level of occupational stress in the nursing team of the obstetric hospital sector of a Public Maternity of São Luís and is of great relevance since, the occupational stress is little approached in sectors of obstetrics such as Joint Housing. We studied 60 nursing professionals, 20 nurses and 40 nursing technicians. Data collection was performed through a structured questionnaire based on the Bianchi Stress Scale (BSA) at two moments (before and after a set of intervention actions) in order to analyze the levels and indicators of stress. In an initial phase, the results revealed that the majority of nurses and nursing technicians are satisfied with their work and pointed to high levels of stress in the domains of activities related to personnel administration, nursing care provided to the patient and coordination of the activities of the unit. After the intervention, there was change in these same items, presenting, the professionals, average level of stress.
