O comissionamento de edifícios constitui um processo estruturado que visa assegurar que os sistemas e componentes instalados são projetados, implementados, testados e operados de acordo com os requisitos de desempenho previamente definidos. Este procedimento, cada vez mais valorizado no setor da construção, revela-se fundamental para garantir níveis elevados de eficiência energética, conforto dos utilizadores e fiabilidade operacional, sobretudo em edifícios sujeitos a intervenções técnicas significativas. Em Portugal, o Sistema de Certificação Energética dos Edifícios (SCE) assume um papel central na avaliação e regulamentação do desempenho energético dos edifícios, fornecendo critérios e metodologias para a verificação da conformidade com os requisitos legais. A integração entre o processo de comissionamento e os objetivos do SCE é particularmente relevante, uma vez que o comissionamento permite validar, com rigor, o comportamento real dos sistemas técnicos, assegurando que o desempenho previsto em projeto se reflete efetivamente na operação do edifício. O presente relatório incide sobre o processo de comissionamento do edifício Marconi, realizado na sequência de uma remodelação profunda dos seus sistemas técnicos. Esta intervenção incluiu a atualização de diversos equipamentos e infraestruturas, tornando essencial implementar um comissionamento sistemático que verificasse a correta instalação, funcionalidade e desempenho energético das soluções adotadas. Através da análise deste caso de estudo, procura-se evidenciar de que forma o comissionamento complementa e reforça os princípios do SCE, contribuindo para a melhoria do desempenho energético, operacional e ambiental do edifício.
Building commissioning is a structured process designed to ensure that installed systems and components are designed, implemented, tested, and operated in accordance with the predefined performance requirements. This procedure, increasingly valued in the construction sector, is essential for guaranteeing high levels of energy efficiency, user comfort, and operational reliability, particularly in buildings subjected to significant technical interventions. In Portugal, the Energy Performance Certification System for Buildings (SCE) plays a central role in assessing and regulating the energy performance of buildings, providing criteria and methodologies for verifying compliance with legal requirements. The integration between the commissioning process and the objectives of the SCE is particularly relevant, as commissioning enables a rigorous validation of the actual performance of technical systems, ensuring that the performance expected in the design phase is effectively reflected in the building’s operation. This report focuses on the commissioning process of the Marconi building, carried out following a major refurbishment of its technical systems. This intervention included the upgrade of various equipment and infrastructures, making it essential to implement a systematic commissioning procedure to verify the correct installation, functionality, and energy performance of the adopted solutions. Through the analysis of this case study, the aim is to highlight how commissioning complements and reinforces the principles of the SCE, contributing to the improvement of the building’s energy, operational, and environmental performance.
