Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como propósito analisar a gestão de recursos humanos na Polícia de
Segurança Pública, mais propriamente o paradigma da gestão de pessoas, que tem vindo a
evoluir, mas ainda nos mantemos num padrão fortemente legalista. É necessário entrar
num modelo onde a pessoa seja o foco da nossa ação, não para fazer o que pretende, mas
para criar uma ligação à organização, por forma a termos um trabalhador motivado e
produtivo, mais realizado e feliz. A pessoa estando mais feliz significará um maior bemestar e melhor qualidade de vida. Assim, beneficia a pessoa, a organização e a sociedade
em geral. A contribuição dada pelas pessoas reflete-se no desempenho de qualquer
organização e esta, resulta da gestão dessas mesmas pessoas e do investimento feito no seu
desenvolvimento. Por conseguinte, o nosso estudo foca-se na gestão das pessoas, enquanto
capital humano, pela necessidade sentida e comum dos profissionais de polícia, tendo em
consideração a suas legítimas expectativas por via da ausência de práticas de gestão que
melhorem o seu bem-estar e não apenas nos aspetos técnicos. Pretende-se, que a
organização reflita seriamente sobre o assunto.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the management of human resources in the Public Security Police, more precisely the paradigm of people management, which has been evolving, but we remain in a strongly legalistic paradigm. It is necessary to enter a model where the person is the focus of our action, not to do what he wants, but to create a link with the organization, in order to have a motivated and productive worker, more fulfilled and happier. A happier person will mean greater well-being and better quality of life. This benefits the person, the organization and society in general. The contribution made by people is reflected in the performance of any organization and this contribution results from the management of these same people and the investment made in their development. Therefore, our study focuses on the management of people, as human capital, due to the common need felt by professionals of the police force, taking into consideration their legitimate expectations due to the inexistence of management practices that improve their well-being not only in technical aspects. It is intended, that organization reflect seriously on the subject.
