Abstract(s)
O presente relatório pretende ser tradutor do culminar de um processo, ilustrando o
desenvolvimento das competências comuns e específicas do enfermeiro especialista no cuidar
da pessoa em situação perioperatória. Este documento possibilita a atribuição do título
académico de Mestre em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área da pessoa em situação
perioperatória, refletindo as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo da unidade curricular “Estágio de
natureza profissional com relatório - Módulo II”.
Este relatório pretende assim demonstrar a integração das competências adquiridas ao longo da
componente experimental, com enfoque na pessoa em situação perioperatória. O contexto de
estágio surge como um instrumento essencial no processo de aprendizagem, através da
prestação de cuidados em particular, na área de especialidade citada, permitindo a
consolidação e mobilização de conhecimentos teóricos e práticos.
O processo de aquisição de competências preconiza o desenvolvimento e a implementação de
um projeto individual, que neste caso se orientou para a “Preparação pré-operatória do cliente
submetido a artroscopia do ombro”. A opção pela temática é motivada, além do interesse
pessoal, pela articulação com o percurso profissional e as necessidades aí identificadas, com a
finalidade de contribuir para estruturar e uniformizar a consulta de enfermagem pré-operatória.
Estruturalmente, este trabalho encontra-se dividido em três principais áreas. Na primeira parte
são apresentados os dois contextos de estágio, nomeadamente o Bloco Operatório Central e a
Unidade de Cirurgia de Ambulatório e a sua relevância para o processo de aprendizagem.
Posteriormente um capítulo referente a dois estudos de caso, em que se explana o processo de
tomada de decisão e conceção de cuidados em todas as fases do perioperatório, com recurso a
uma plataforma educacional. O último capítulo reporta-se aos contributos da componente clínica
e académica, para o desenvolvimento de competências de enfermagem especializadas.
O desenvolvimento destas competências, além do seu cariz dinâmico e pessoal, requer uma
necessidade contínua de investimento, permitindo assim a maximização da qualidade dos
cuidados prestados, decisiva no exercício profissional, enquanto enfermeira especialista.
The present report aims to translate the culmination of a process, ilustrating the development of common and specific skills of the specialist nurse in Perioperative Nursing. This document enables the acquisition of the academic title of Medical-Surgical Nursing Master's degree in Perioperative Nursing, demonstrating the activities developed throughout the curricular unit “Professional internship with report - Module II”. This report exposes the integration of the skills acquired throughout the experimental component, focusing on the person in perioperative situation. The internship context appears as an essential instrument in the learning process, through the provision of care in particular, in the aforementioned area of specialty, allowing the consolidation and mobilization of theoretical and practical knowledge. The skills acquisition process includes the development and implementation of an individual project, which in this case was oriented towards the “Preoperative preparation of the client undergoing shoulder arthroscopy”. The choice of this theme is motivated, in addition to personal interest, by the articulation with the professional path and the needs identified there, with the aim of contributing to structuring and standardizing the preoperative nursing consultation. Structurally, this work is divided in three main chapters. The first part integrates the two internship contexts - the Central Operating Room and the Ambulatory Surgery Unit and their relevance to the learning process. The second one, refers to two case studies, that explain the decision-making process and nursing care plan in all phases of the perioperative period, using an educational platform. The last chapter refers to the contributions of the clinical and academic component to the development of specialized nursing skills. The development of these skills, in addition to their dynamic and personal nature, requires a continuous investment, allowing the maximization of the quality of care, which is essential in professional practice as a specialist nurse.
