O presente trabalho tem por tema o “Conceito de emprego das Forças de Operações
Especiais no espectro da conflitualidade actual”.
Os objectivos de estudo do trabalho são as Forças de Operações Especiais do Exército Português (FOEsp) com o intuito de pesquisar sobre o seu emprego operacional, em particular relativamente à forma como se organizam para o emprego das suas forças de modo à satisfação dos compromissos assumidos, bem como se os meios e capacidades actuais, garantem a proficiência no desempenho das suas tarefas e se o ciclo de prontidão contribui para a aquisição e manutenção das competências e capacidades dos seus militares e/ou subunidades. O trabalho conclui que as FOEsp estão preparadas para serem empregues nas operações militares actuais com capacidades e meios que as designam como aptas a executar, planear, dirigir e controlar OE, no cumprimento das suas missões, desde o tempo de paz até uma situação de crise ou conflito.
Abstract The present work is aimed at understanding the “concept of employment of special operations forces in the current spectrum of conflict.” The main objectives of the present work are the Portuguese Army Special Operations Forces to inquire about their operational employment in particular regarding the Organization for the employment of their forces so as to the fulfillment of commitments, as well as whether the current assets and capabilities, ensure proficiency in carrying out its tasks and if the readiness cycle, contributes to the acquisition and maintenance skills and capabilities of its military and/or sub-units. An overall view of the work concludes that the FOEsp are prepared to be used in the current military operations with capabilities that call able runn ing, planning, directing and controlling OE, in carrying out their missions, since the peace time to crisis or conflict situation.
