Abstract(s)
The following study, of qualitative nature, focuses on the pre-school aged children self-esteem formation, particularly the way how the surrounding adults’ attitudes influence its development. In this way, three investigation questions were asked which guided all the research and from which the interviews’ semi-structured scripts were developed, aimed at Educators, Parents and a children’s Psychologist. Therefore, results are consequence of the confrontation between the selected theory and the interviewees’ perspectives, referring to the urgent community sensibilization, specially the adults that deal on a daily basis with children, such as parents, and kindergarten educators, for the impact that our attitudes have on children’s emotional development.
