O Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica – a Pessoa em situação crítica culmina na
sua última etapa, o Relatório de Estágio Final. O mesmo pretende demonstrar o processo de
aquisição e desenvolvimento das competências de Mestre em Enfermagem, bem como das
Competências Comuns do Enfermeiro Especialista e as Competências Específicas do Enfermeiro
Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica – a Pessoa em situação crítica, ao longo do
Estágio Final.
A evidência demonstra que a prática eficaz de Suporte Avançado de Vida é associada ao
aumento da sobrevivência das vítimas de Paragem Cardiorrespiratória. É essencial que os
profissionais de saúde sejam treinados para atuar nestas situações.
No âmbito do Estágio Final, realizou-se um Projeto de Intervenção, assente na Metodologia
de Projeto e fundamentado com recurso ao Modelo para a Mudança da Prática Baseada na
Evidência. O projeto pretendeu melhorar a capacidade dos profissionais para providenciarem
Suporte Avançado de Vida em situações de Paragem Cardiorrespiratória. Recorreu-se à prática
simulada como meio que promove o desenvolvimento das competências da equipa nesse
contexto.
Adicionalmente, objetivou-se proceder à análise reflexiva e fundamentada do processo
formativo de aquisição das competências, contemplando as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo
do Estágio Final e o seu papel para este processo.
The Master’s degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing – The Person in Critical Situation culminates in its last stage, the Final Internship Report. This paper aims to demonstrate the process of acquisition and development of Master’s in Nursing competences, as well as the Common Competences of the Specialist Nurse and the Specific Competences of the Medical- Surgical Specialist Nurse, during said Internship. The evidence demonstrates that the effective practice of Advanced Life Support is associated with the increase of survival rates in Cardiopulmonary Arrest victims. It is essential that healthcare professionals are trained to perform in these situations. During the Final Internship, an Intervention Project, based on Project Methodology and grounded on the Model for Evidence-Based Practice Change, was conducted. The project aimed to improve healthcare professionals’ skills in providing Advanced Life Support in Cardiopulmonary Arrest situations. Simulation training was used as a mean to promote the development of the team’s skills in that context. Additionally, the aim was to perform a reflexive and reasoned analysis of the formative process of acquisition of competences, contemplating the activities developed during the Internship and their role in this process.
