| dc.description.abstract | Considerado um dos dez produtos turísticos estratégicos inseridos no Plano Estratégico Nacional do Turismo, os circuitos turísticos se bem planeados, dimensionados e projetados, podem-se tornar um foco de atração em regiões, que pela sua interioridade, não fazem parte da dinâmica do setor, habitualmente assente no litoral e no produto “sun, sea and sand”. Não só possibilitam organizar o território quanto às suas características históricas, culturais, naturais e paisagísticas, perfazendo uma coerência lógica e orientada para um determinado objetivo, como também permitem uma divulgação do património num registo dinâmico e complementar. Dentro desta linha de raciocínio, este trabalho propõe conjugar um itinerário pouco conhecido, mas que efetivamente subsiste e é real, no caso o Caminho Português sul de Santiago, com um quadro colateral de uma outra História, de uma outra época, mas que inevitavelmente, em conjunto, foram responsáveis pela construção da identidade portuguesa. Nesse sentido, com esta dissertação, pretende-se elaborar um conjunto de circuitos temáticos pedestres construídos sobre a temática da presença romana em Portugal, tendo como elemento base estruturante o Caminho Português sul de Santiago. Trata-se de reformular uma rota milenar de peregrinação na ótica da complementaridade, associando-a a outros recursos culturais, no caso vestígios e simbolismos da Roma Imperial. Para tal, selecionou-se o território do concelho de Évora, localizado no interior sul de Portugal, no qual se encontram inúmeros registos da ocupação romana, e cujo desenvolvimento do setor turístico pode efetivamente disponibilizar uma maior sustentabilidade do uso do património histórico, e se possível em íntima ligação com o meio natural. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Considered one of the top ten strategic tourism products of the National Strategic Plan for Tourism (PENT, Cultural and Landscape Touring), the touring when well planned, designed and sized properly, can become a focus of attraction in regions, which by its interiority, it’s not part of the industry dynamics, usually based on the coast and in the product "sun, sea and sand". It’s not only possible to organize the territory as their historical, cultural, natural and landscape features, making a logical-oriented coherence to a certain goal, but also it enables a heritage disclosure in a dynamic and complementary registration. Within this line of reasoning, this paper proposes to combine a little known itinerary, that actually exists and it’s real, the Portuguese Way South of Santiago, with a side part of another story, of another time which, together with the roman heritage, were responsible for building the Portuguese identity. In this sense, this thesis intend to develop a set of pedestrian thematic circuits, built on the theme of roman presence in Portugal, with the base element structuring the Portuguese Way south of Saint James. It is to redesign an ancient pilgrimage route in the perspective of complementarity, linking it to other cultural resources, in this case the traces and symbolism of Imperial Rome. Thus, we selected the territory of the municipality of Évora located in the southern interior of Portugal where there are numerous records of the Roman occupation, and whose development of the tourism sector can effectively provide a more sustainable use of heritage, and possible in intimate connection with the natural environment. | pt_PT |
