| dc.description.abstract | Um forte carácter tecnológico e inovador, são características determinantes para o estabelecimento do Poder Aeroespacial. A Força Aérea (FA) realiza projetos de Investigação e Desenvolvimento (I&D) há diversas décadas, quer por obrigação estatuária, quer com intuito de desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias de modo a gerar novas capacidades para o ramo. Este estudo visa contribuir no âmbito da Estratégia de I&D na Defesa e constituir algumas linhas orientadoras estratégicas de I&D da FA, que contribuirão para a integração em contexto militar desta capacidade. Estas linhas orientadoras para uma estratégia, têm como base na análise da Estratégia Europeia e Nacional para I&D e de entrevistas conduzidas a diversos oficiais da FA e das FFAA, com experiência e responsabilidade no desenvolvimento de projetos de I&D. Recorrendo a uma metodologia de raciocínio indutivo, assente numa investigação qualitativa e no desenho de pesquisa transversal, conclui-se que a constituição de orientações estratégicas para a integração da I&D desenvolvida pela FA com a Estratégia de I&D do país, é importante para a FA, porque permitirá o desenvolvimento de novas capacidades nacionais, um aumento do conhecimento científico generalizado, reforçar a sua credibilidade e por último contribuir para alcançar os objetivos definidos pela Estratégia de Defesa Nacional. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Aerospace Power is determinately characterized by its strong technologic and innovative demand. The Portuguese Air Force has been developing for several decades Research and Development (R&D) projects either by its obligatory high degree studies or by the urge to development new technologies to be applied in new capabilities to the branch. This study stands to contribute to the Defence R&D Strategy with several strategic guidelines to the Portuguese Air Force (PrtAF), in way that it will increase the military integration of this competence. The guidelines for this strategy are based on the analysis of the European and Nacional Strategy for R&D, and by the interviews conducted to several PrtAF Officers and Portuguese Armed Forces with strong connection to the development of R&D projects. Based on an inductive reasoning methodology, qualitative research strategy and a transversal case study design, it was concluded the importance of elaborating strategy guidelines in order to integrate the R&D activities develop by the PrtAF with the Nation’s R&D strategy. Since it will allow the creation of new capabilities, increase the PrtAF scientific knowledge, reinforce its credibility and by last to achieve the objectives define by the Nation’s Defence Strategy. | pt_PT |
