| dc.description.abstract | As diferentes plataformas de comunicação digital, que surgiram com o desenvolvimento da Web 2.0, vieram alterar o padrão dos relacionamentos interpessoais – uma realidade a que as organizações procuraram adaptar-se ao incluir nas suas estratégias de comunicação a vertente da comunicação online, ferramenta fundamental na relação com os diversos stakeholders. Nesta era da comunicação digital, em que as relações públicas (RP) são necessariamente desafiadas pelas especificidades deste novo paradigma, importa perceber a forma como as instituições de ensino superior (IES), em particular na área das ciências da saúde, estão a comunicar com os seus públicos nos social media. Com a realização do presente trabalho procura-se compreender a utilização que as IES, em Portugal, fazem dos social media e saber mais sobre como estas interagem com os utilizadores que seguem as suas páginas institucionais. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The different digital communication platforms, which arose with the development of Web 2.0, would alter the pattern of interpersonal relationships – a reality that the organizations tried to adapt themselves to by including in their communication strategies the online communication feature, a critical tool in the relationship with the various stakeholders. In this era of digital communication, in which public relations (PR) are necessarily challenged by the specificities of this new paradigm, it is important to realize how higher education institutions (HEIs), particularly in the area of health sciences, are communicating with their audiences in the social media. This work seeks to understand the use that HEIs in Portugal make of social media and to know more about how they interact with the users that follow their institutional pages. | pt_PT |
