Abstract(s)
Reabilitação no contexto da Unidade de Cuidados na Comunidade; Unidade de Convalescença;
considerando as necessidades e capacidades específicas de cada pessoa selecionada;
O relatório destaca as principais
This report emerges from the Professional Internship with Report – Module II, integrated into the Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Nursing, during the 2023/24 academic year, entitled "Balance and contribution of the specialist nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing: Project for the development of specialized clinical skills in the field of Rehabilitation Nursing", reflecting the relevance of rehabilitation of people with compromised balance. The report presents the following general objectives: to develop general and specific skills of the Rehabilitation Nursing and to deepen the specific skills of the Rehabilitation Nursing, in people with compromised balance. As well as the following specific objectives: develop specific skills of the Rehabilitation Nursing in the context of the Community Care Unit; Convalescence Unit; Stroke Unit; Pneumology; Orthopedics and Pediatrics, in light of the Regulation of Specific Competencies of the Rehabilitation Nursing (OE, 2019); deepen knowledge about the intervention of the Rehabilitation Nursing in compromised balance; diagnose changes in balance; develop intervention plans to promote balance, considering the specific needs and capabilities of each person selected; implement planned specialized interventions, within the scope of compromised balance, in two specific cases and evaluate the results of the implemented interventions. The internship took place in different clinical contexts, namely a Community Care Unit, a Convalescent Unit, a Stroke Unit, in the Pulmonology, Orthopedics and Pediatrics service. This diversity provided broad practical experience and a comprehensive view of the needs of people with compromised balance. The methodology adopted included a literature review and reflections on clinical practice. This reflective approach allowed an in-depth analysis of issues related to compromised balance. Regarding the structure of the report, it is divided into four main parts: the description of the clinical contexts; the presentation of two clinical cases carried out through E4nursing, which deepen the theme of this report; the development of common and specific competencies of the Rehabilitation Nursing and a conclusive synthesis. The report highlights the main measures implemented in the elaboration of the care design of two real clinical cases, focusing on the domain of balance. The challenges overcome are addressed and reflects a journey marked by learning and contributions to rehabilitation nursing.
