dc.description.abstractThis theoretical essay aims to investigate how the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) teaching methodology can contribute to the development of Literacy, Reasoning, and Statistical Thinking, in order to promote a more in-depth education in statistical understanding and the contextualized application of its fundamentals, with an emphasis on students' reality. By examining the theory, the goal is to articulate this methodology with Literacy, Reasoning, and Statistical Thinking, highlighting the importance of social interaction, problem-solving, the development of solutions, and the practical application of statistical knowledge, thereby creating new perspectives for Statistical Education (SE). It can be concluded that the PBL teaching methodology has the potential to stimulate the development of these three processes, equipping students to make informed decisions and act based on solid analyses, fostering a deeper and more integrated understanding of statistics. In this way, the implementation of PBL in SE promotes critical data analysis, creativity, and reflection, establishing itself as a pedagogical approach that prepares students for the challenges of the contemporary world, where the understanding and critical interpretation of data are increasingly relevant.por
dc.description.abstractEste ensaio teórico tem como objetivo investigar como a metodologia de ensino Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas (ABP) pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento do Letramento, do Raciocínio e do Pensamento Estatístico, de forma a promover uma formação mais aprofundada na compreensão estatística e na aplicação contextualizada de seus fundamentos, com ênfase na realidade dos estudantes. Ao examinar a teoria, busca-se articular essa metodologia com o Letramento, o Raciocínio e o Pensamento Estatístico, destacando a importância da interação social, da resolução de problemas, do desenvolvimento de soluções e da aplicação prática do conhecimento estatístico, a fim de criar novas perspectivas para a Educação Estatística (EE). Pode-se concluir que a metodologia de ensino ABP tem potencial para estimular o desenvolvimento dos três processos, capacitando os estudantes para tomar decisões informadas e agir com base em análises sólidas, promovendo uma compreensão mais profunda e integrada da estatística. Dessa forma, a implementação da ABP na EE permite promover a análise crítica de dados, a criatividade e a reflexão, estabelecendo-se como uma abordagem pedagógica que prepara os alunos para os desafios do mundo contemporâneo, no qual a compreensão e a interpretação crítica de dados são cada vez mais relevantes.por
