Abstract(s)
Smart systems have increasingly sought more applications in agriculture. With the advent of climate change and the understanding on the impact that intensive agricultural practices have on the environment, a more responsible and precise use of resources has gained focus on the farming
community. The design of a Digital Twin for horticulture that may be able to monitor plants growth, plants physiology and control physical things in a farm is described in this paper. It includes a data repository for structured and unstructured data, different components for data acquisition, data communication, data storage, data modeling, data analysis and data visualization. The Digital Twin data sources, IoT technology for soil moisture and nutrients monitoring, and techniques for grapevine modeling are described in this paper.
