Abstract(s)
Este artigo aborda o tema da técnica dos perfis criminais. São apresentados os conceitos bem como objetivos da técnica e sua aplicabilidade. Para tal é efetuada uma análise às três principais abordagens mais representativas da temática, integrantes da perspetiva estatística: diagnóstico e avaliação, psicologia investigativa e perfil da ação criminal. É igualmente abordado o processo de análise de informação que está na base da elaboração do perfil criminal: processos dedutivos e/ou indutivos. Considerando a perspetiva científica da técnica é ainda abordada a validade da técnica dos perfis criminais bem como a sua eficácia. Por fim é deixada a sugestão da sua aplicabilidade na Polícia de Segurança Pública e em concreto ao crime de roubo por se tratar de um crime violento, logo passível de ser aplicada a técnica.
This article addresses the topic of criminal profiling. It is presented the concept of the technique as well as the objectives and their applicability. For this, an analysis is made of the three most representative approaches, according the statistical perspective: diagnosis and evaluation, investigative psychology and criminal action profile. It also addresses the process of information analysis that is in the basis of the elaboration of the criminal profile: deductive and/or inductive processes. Considering the scientific perspective of the technique is also addressed the validity of the criminal profiling technique as well as its effectiveness. Finally, it is suggested the applicability in the Public Security Police and in particular to the crime of robbery as it is treated as a violent crime, which can the technique be applied.
