Fundada no ano 2010, a IPSS Reklusa conta já com mais de quarenta reclusas que passaram pelo projeto no sentido de melhorar a sua vida. Fundada no ano 2010, a IPSS Reklusa conta já com mais de quarenta reclusas que passaram pelo projeto no sentido de melhorar a sua vida. A Reklusa tem desenvolvido um trabalho exemplar junto da população reclusa e ex-reclusa, sendo que a principal missão desta associação é a de ajudar na reconstrução desta população, apoiando a sua reintegração, tanto na sociedade como na vida profissional. Esta associação permite uma segunda oportunidade às reclusas: aprender o ofício da costura enquanto cumprem pena, ajudando também a ocupar o tempo livre e ainda com o acréscimo de estarem a juntar para uma poupança pessoal. Através da presente dissertação pretende-se perceber até que ponto a IPSS Reklusa é determinante na nossa sociedade, no sentido em que contribuiu para uma sociedade mais justa e segura, com o objetivo de reduzir tanto os números da criminalidade como da reincidência.
ABSTRACT: Founded in 2010, IPSS Reklusa already has more than forty inmates who have gone through the project, in a path towards improving their life. Throughout its five years of existence, there have been a lot of results presented by the association, which promises to do more and better for the inmates in Portugal as well as for our society. Reklusa has developed an outstanding work with the inmate and ex-inmate populations, being the main mission of this association to help rebuild these populations, supporting their reintegration both in society and professional life. This association gives the female inmates a new opportunity: to learn the craft of sewing while they are serving their sentence, also helping to occupy their free time, with the added benefit of saving money in a personal account. Through the present dissertation it is intended to understand to what extent is the IPSS Reklusa decisive in our society, in the sense of contributing to a fairer and more secure society, with the objective of reducing both criminality and repeated offences.
