Abstract(s)
No
e abril de 2024 com recurso a questionário on-line, contendo: dados sociodemográficos;
Nesse contexto, a intervenção do
integrem a espiritualidade organizacional no trabalho.
Introduction: In light of the growing complexity of the world of work and the increase in mental health problems, organizational spirituality is emerging as a promising approach to promoting a healthier and more humanized work environment. However, it appears that there are few studies exploring the intersection between mental health and organizational spirituality in healthcare professionals. Objective: To analyze the relationship between organizational spirituality and the mental health of health professionals at a social service institute in the field of mental health. Materials and methods: cross-sectional multicenter, descriptive-correlational study. A non probability convenience sample of health professionals at a social service institute in the field of mental health was used. Data collection took place between January and April 2024 using an on-line questionnaire containing sociodemographic data; the Mental Health Inventory (α=0.964) and the Organizational Spirituality Assessment Questionnaire (α=0.946). The data were processed using SPSS version 29 software, using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee. Results: the study sample consisted of 112 participants, with an average age of 38.15 years. Of the participants, 75% were female, 42.9% were nurses, and 61.1% had worked at the institution for more than five years. The participants had an average score of 4.63 on the Psychological Distress subscale (Anxiety, Depression, Loss of emotional/behavioral control), and 4.21 on the Psychological Well-being subscale (Positive affect and Emotional bonds). On the Organizational Spirituality scale, the overall average was 24.38+3.84, with the dimension Sense of service to the community obtaining the highest values. There was a moderate positive correlation between Organizational Spirituality and the participants' Mental Health (rho=0.393; p=0.01). Conclusions: The results suggest that higher levels of organizational spirituality are associated with better mental health indicators. In this context, the intervention of mental health specialist nurses is crucial, as they can implement practices that integrate organizational spirituality at work. Although the results are promising, future research with larger samples and in different contexts is suggested.
