O presente Trabalho de InvestigaĆ§Ć£o Aplicada tem como finalidade investigar e analisar as capacidades e requisitos que uma Bateria de Artilharia AntiaĆ©rea tem, ao nĆvel do Comando e Controlo, para participar em missƵes no Ć¢mbito da OrganizaĆ§Ć£o do Tratado do AtlĆ¢ntico Norte e em missƵes no territĆ³rio nacional.
A parte prĆ”tica do trabalho teve lugar no Regimento de Artilharia AntiaĆ©rea nĀŗ 1, tendo por base, anĆ”lise de documentos, entrevistas e relatos de experiĆŖncias pessoais dos militares com experiĆŖncia de comando de Baterias de Artilharia AntiaĆ©rea.
Este trabalho inicia-se com a referĆŖncia ao atual ambiente operacional, Ć s novas ameaƧas, com particular ĆŖnfase para as ameaƧas aĆ©reas. Faz-se ainda referĆŖncia ao sistema de Defesa AĆ©rea da OrganizaĆ§Ć£o do AtlĆ¢ntico Norte e ao Sistema de Defesa AĆ©reo Nacional, referindo a importĆ¢ncia da utilizaĆ§Ć£o da Artilharia AntiaĆ©rea nos dias de hoje, face Ć s novas ameaƧas.
Com esta investigaĆ§Ć£o, pretende-se identificar quais os elementos necessĆ”rios ao nĆvel do Sistema de Comando e Controlo das Baterias de Artilharia AntiaĆ©rea atuais. Para que possam participar em missƵes no Ć¢mbito da OrganizaĆ§Ć£o do Tratado do AtlĆ¢ntico Norte, podendo estar integradas no sistema de defesa aĆ©reo do teatro da respetiva missĆ£o, e ainda, em missƵes do territĆ³rio nacional, integrando-se no Sistema de Defesa AĆ©reo Nacional.
No final apresentam-se a respetivas conclusƵes que resultam desta investigaĆ§Ć£o, para que se possa responder Ć questĆ£o central que deu origem ao trabalho. Concluindo que, o sistema de Comando e Controlo atual da Artilharia AntiaĆ©rea Portuguesa nĆ£o estĆ” preparado para atuar, de uma forma integrada, numa missĆ£o no Ć¢mbito da OrganizaĆ§Ć£o do Tratado do AtlĆ¢ntico Norte, e, em territĆ³rio nacional apresenta algumas lacunas sendo necessĆ”ria a implementaĆ§Ć£o de um Sistema AutomĆ”tico de Comando e Controlo, assim como a aquisiĆ§Ć£o de novos radares com capacidade 3D.
Abstract This research aims to investigate and analyze the capabilities and requirements that a Portuguese Air Defense Artillery Battery has, at the Command and Control, for missions under the auspices of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and missions in the national territory. The practical part of the work took place in the Air Defense Artillery Regiment, and it was based in document analysis, interviews and personal experiences with the military command experience of Air Defense Artillery Battery. This research begins with a reference to the current operational environment, new threats, with particular emphasis for aerial threats. It also makes reference to the air defense system of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the National Air Defense System, referring to the importance of using Air Defense Artillery today, according with the new threats. This work aims to identify the necessary elements of Command and Control of the current Battery. In order to participate in missions under the auspices of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, to be integrated into air defense system of the theater of the relevant mission, and yet, on missions in national territory, integrated into the National Air Defense System. At the end the conclusions that result from this research are presented in order to answer the central question that originated this thesis. Concluding that the current Command and Control System of the Portuguese Air Defense Artillery is not prepared to act integrated in a mission under the auspices of the North Atlantic Treaty, and, in national territory has some shortcomings, it is necessary to implement an Automated Command and Control System as well as the acquisition of new radars
