Abstract(s)
O motion design é uma disciplina de design que, maioritariamente, concretiza projetos de cariz comercial, revelando-se um medium pouco empregado para fins de crítica ou de sensibilização. Este projeto recorre aos motion graphics para, precisamente, contrariar tal tendência. Alia-se, além disso, a uma abordagem tomada pelo design especulativo, imaginando, através da prática do design, um futuro possível, para concretizar um resultado que gera debate e cria uma atitude reflexiva no espectador. Para tal fim, o projeto aborda questões possivelmente inquietantes levantadas por alguns avanços emergentes na área da neurociência e tecnologia. Estima-se que, por ser um medium não estático, dinâmico e, consequentemente, possivelmente mais envolvente, que a mensagem abordada no projeto tenha um impacto mais significativo no público, gerando mais conscientização em relação à temática abordada. Tal resultado certamente servirá como potenciador em relação ao uso do motion design enquanto ferramenta de promoção de uma atitude crítica e não apenas enquanto instrumento para uso utilitário ou decorativo.
Motion design is a design discipline which, for the most part, implements commercial projects, proving to be a medium rarely used for critical or awareness-raising purposes. This project uses motion graphics to precisely counter this trend. It is also combined with an approach taken by speculative design, imagining, through the practice of design, a possible future, to achieve a result that generates debate and creates a reflective attitude in the viewer. To this end, the project addresses possibly disturbing questions raised by some emerging advances in the area of neuroscience and technology. It is estimated that, as it is a non-static, dynamic medium and consequently possibly more engaging, the message addressed in the project will have a more significant impact on the public, generating more awareness regarding the topic addressed. This result will certainly serve as a booster in relation to the use of motion design as a tool for promoting a critical attitude and not just as an instrument for a utilitarian or decorative use.
