Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho exprime a preocupação da Polícia sobre o sentimento de insegurança vivido na cidade de Estremoz, que pode ser motivado por diversos fatores, nomeadamente, os comportamentos antissociais e alguns tipificados como crimes, que derivam da falta de integração social dos residentes no Bairro das Quintinhas naquela cidade.
Por outro lado, este estudo pretende ser mais um contributo para uma reflexão sobre os modelos de policiamento e medidas de polícia a adotar em situações que extravasam a repressão e prevenção criminal.
Pretende-se assim identificar quais os fatores que estão na origem do elevado sentimento de insegurança que se vive naquela cidade e se os modelos de policiamento e medidas de polícia implementados são suficientes e eficazes para fazer face a esta problemática ou se são necessárias medidas de polícia inovadores.
Para a elaboração do estudo, além da revisão da literatura, leitura bibliográfica, análise documental e observação direta, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas a informantes privilegiados que na atualidade são portadores de informações mais significativas e pertinentes sobre o tema em estudo.
Quanto aos resultados previstos espera-se fornecer uma contribuição para que, através de modelos inovadores de policiamento e medidas de polícia, estabelecendo parcerias com instituições e entidades com responsabilidades sociais, se possa repor o sentimento de segurança na cidade de Estremoz.
This work expresses the Police concern about the feeling of insecurity lived in the city of Estremoz, which can be motivated by several factors, such as anti-social behaviour and other problems typified as crimes, which are originated by the lack of social integration of the residents in Bairro das Quintinhas in that city. On the other hand, this study intends to be a further contribution to a reflexion on policing models as well as what police measures should be taken in situations that go beyond criminal prevention and repression. The aim of this work is to identify the factors that raise the strong feeling of insecurity that exists in that city and if the models of policing and implemented police measures are sufficient and effective to solve these problems or whether innovative police measures are needed. For this study elaboration, besides the revision of the state of the art, bibliographical reading, documentary analysis and the direct observation, were promoted semi-structured interviews with privileged informants who currently have more significant and relevant information about the subject of the study. As far as the results are concerned, it is expected that this work will contribute to reset the feeling of security in the city of Estremoz, through innovative policing models and police measures, by establishing partnerships with institutions and entities with social responsibilities.
