Abstract(s)
O objetivo do nosso estudo é o de procurar compreender a aplicação de modelos sistémicos de competitividade e gestão
estratégica nas empresas familiares, destacando a relevância e os desafios deste contexto. Procedeu-se a um estudo qualitativo junto de empresários cujas empresas cumprem os critérios para serem empresas familiares. O interesse do estudo reveste-se essencialmente pelo facto de que as empresas familiares possuem características únicas, como a sobreposição entre sistemas familiares e empresarial, que influenciam a sua gestão e estratégia. Nesta perspetiva, a presente investigação, procurou compreender a relação entre conhecimento e aplicabilidade dos Modelos sistémicos de competitividade e Gestão estratégica nas empresas familiares através da realização de um estudo qualitativo de Análise de conteúdo resultante de um corpus de 13 entrevistas realizadas a representantes de empresas familiares. De acordo com os resultados obtidos, foi possível concluir que a aplicabilidade dos Modelos sistémicos de competitividade e Gestão estratégica não está diretamente correlacionada com o conhecimento dos mesmos. Conclui-se, desta forma, que mesmo que existam lacunas no conhecimento das teorias, as práticas exercidas assentam na aplicação dos modelos estudados.
The objective of our study is to seek to understand the application of systemic models of competitiveness and strategic management in family businesses, highlighting the relevance and challenges of this context. A qualitative study was carried out among entrepreneurs whose companies meet the criteria for being family businesses. The interest of the study is essentially the fact that family businesses have unique characteristics, such as the overlap between family and business systems, which influence their management and strategy. From this perspective, the present investigation sought to understand the relationship between knowledge and applicability of systemic models of competitiveness and strategic management in family businesses by carrying out a qualitative study of content analysis resulting from a corpus of 13 interviews carried out with representatives of family businesses. According to the results obtained, it was possible to conclude that the applicability of systemic competitiveness and strategic management models is not directly correlated with their knowledge. It is concluded, therefore, that even if there are gaps in the knowledge of theories, the practices carried out are based on the application of the models studied.
