Abstract(s)
Our research enrolled in the theme of Education and Training of Adults. Directed to the processes of informal training, in a real work environment, focused on the acquisitions provided by palliative practice, in a specific professional group, the nurses. Assuming the format and the gear of a methodological case study, sought to describe and understand, in depth, the role of informal training experiences, among nurses who provide palliative care in a General Surgery Service. From a theoretical framework that cuts across various topics and concepts explored during the study, we were clearly guided by the qualitative methodological options. The basic objective of the research was to provide us a comprehensive view about the representations of the experiences on informal training, built by the nurses studied, resulting from their professional activity in Palliative Care.
