Abstract(s)
The industrial revolution was a turning point in human relations at work and triggered the awakening to psychosocial risks, where stress has come to have a prominent position. The main objective of this work is to analyze the impact of psychosocial risks in the work context, in the area of internal security of a retail organization, which cannot be dissociated from the type of leadership and management. In pursuit of this objective, a quantitative, cross-sectional study was developed, using COPSOQ II. The reference population for this study is made up of 1380 workers, with the convenience sample made up of 200 respondents. The study carried out shows, in terms of higher risk indicators, Emotional Demands and Cognitive Demands subscales, followed by general health, Depressive symptoms, Stress, Burnout and Sleep problems with values to consider. The group age between 30-40 years old, with less educational qualifications, female sex, with children, without a managerial position, who work in shifts and have been working for longer in the organization, are the ones with the highest indicators of psychosocial risks. Based on the data obtained, it is essential that all elements that make up society work together to mitigate these risks, starting with in-depth studies aiming, among other measures, to include that the assessment of risks in terms of safety at work are, necessarily, extended to those now studied nature, followed by mitigation measures.
