Integração e optimização da radiografia digital em clínica de animais de companhia

O presente trabalho teve como objetivos a avaliação da presença da radiografia digital, nos Centros de Atendimento Médico-Veterinários (CAMV) de Portugal (na área clínica de animais de companhia) e a otimização das imagens radiográficas digitais de forma a obter um diagnóstico mais preciso e com uma maior eficácia. Para o cumprimento dos mesmos foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a radiologia, radiologia digital, atributos de imagem e seu processamento, Teleradiologia, Sistema de Comunicação e Arquivamento de Imagens (PACS). Foi também realizado um inquérito online a 118 CAMV de Portugal permitindo constatar a crescente procura por sistemas de radiografia digital, o interesse pela otimização de imagens e pela segurança das mesmas (no que diz respeito à integridade das imagens durante o seu arquivo e transferência) bem como dos hábitos de trabalho radiológico dos profissionais de veterinária da área da radiologia.
The present work had the following objectives: the evaluation of presence of digital radiography in Portugal’s Veterinary Clinics (in the area of small animal practice), and the optimization of radiographic digital images, in order to obtain a more precise and efficient diagnosis. For the achievement of the cited objectives, it has been elaborated a bibliographic revision about radiography, digital radiography, image attributes and image processing, Teleradiology, Picture Archiving and communication system (PACS). It was also elaborated an online survey to 118 portuguese Veterinarians, which allowed to conclude about the crescent search for digital radiography systems, the interest by image optimization, and safety relative to image integrity during archive and transference, and work habits of the veterinary radiography professionals.
